The Art of Nature and the Nature of Art

This site is devoted to the study of various art forms, including but not limited to painting, music and literature.   Above all, it will examine connections between the more traditional forms of art and Nature itself, and it will explore, in particular, the notion that a garden represents "living art."

Visitors are welcome to add their comments and suggestions regarding topics under discussion.  My hope is that by exploring and sharing the joys of Art and Nature, together we shall discover the meaning of these words penned by the English Romantic poet John Keats (1795-1821): "Beauty is truth, truth beauty -- that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."
