Well, you are a brave one. So you want to know a little more about me.
I could start at the beginning, but I'm sure to lose a few of you if I do that. Tell ya what, I'll give you the basics and if you really want to know more then you can click on one of the hot links including FASQ about the Scorpion.
First, all of my friends call me Sally. My enemies call me.....well it doesn't matter what they call me. I'm 31 years old and have lived in Arizona for 26 of those years. I've tried several times to escape, but never quite seem to make it. I usually get stopped at the boarder.
I have a great family, Dad(he's the greatest), step-mom(she's the best) and a younger sister(just adorable). I have lots of loves including judo, my dog (who sadly, passed away Sept. 1999), writing and photography.
I graduated from Arizona State University in 1994 with a BA in sociology.
I have hads lots of crazy jobs and a few normal jobs too. But currently, I am the House Manager of Grady Gammage Auditorium on the campus of ASU. It's true, I can't even escape from the university I attended. However, I love my job and am not trying very hard to leave.
What does a house manager do? Mostly I'm in charge of the front of house staff. That is, I'm responsible for making sure there are people to take tickets, hand out Playbills, and help the patrons' visit enjoyable. We host any number of events at Gammage (did I mention that Gammage was designed by Frank Llyod Wright?) from broadway musicals to symphonies to lectures. We have quite the variety here.
I also have the honor of greeting the performers as they arrive at the auditoruim. I have met some folks who are going to be BIG stars one day. And I've met my fair share of famous folks who have come to grace the stage of Gammage. Most of the bigger named people have been wonderful people. Only one or two have been...well, how to put it kindly...not nice. But the good ones more than make up for them.
