Contest!!

That's right, folks, we here at Waylaid on the Road to Riches are sponsoring our very first on-line contest. Play now for the chance to win fabulous prizes and the esteem and affection of hundreds of readers worldwide.

To enter, simply answer these two simple questions:

1. What is the name of Simon Waterbury's deceased wife?

2. What is Vesper Shillington's deep, dark secret?

Now, one of these questions has a distinct and definite answer which is contained in the text of the novel as it exists (hint: it's a flower). To answer the other, you will need a wee bit of imagination, a brain like Sherlock Holmes, or to be sleeping with one of the authors, since only they know all the answers (and some of the bed-mates don't even know). Be creative!

A winner will be chosen when the authors select the answer that they find to be the funniest, most intriguing, or closest to their own plotting and planning.

The winner will receive the recently completed and highly illegal soundtrack to the novel, which contains most of the music mentioned in the text, and may or may not contain such memorable themes as "Top of the World," "H.R. Pufnstuf," and "Under My Thumb," as well as a very special (and educational) Waylaid on the Road to Riches placemat.

In addition, the winner (or a parallel universe version of him/her) will be included in the text of the novel before its completion, assuming that he/she is not already in it. Whoo-hoo!
