I.I.E.D., or Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, is a bona-fide legalese term, or so we've heard from our lawyer and law school friends. A legal cousin of sexual harrassment, I.I.E.D. is a more vague term applying to "willful defamation and disparagement of one party by another." Basically, namecalling.
If you've been wronged by a boss, coworker, ex- boy or girlfriend, your family, or pretty much any Joe on the street, you can sue for I.I.E.D.
And you can probably win.
See what you learn when you read Waylaid?!
