While Kay was in her throes of tumult, Chris and Michael got acquainted with some of the other late-night denizens of the Emergency Room. For example, a poor girl from New Jersey came in with all of her friends, pretty much unconscious. Someone had slipped a nasty drug into her drink at a club.
There was also a charming manic-depressive (really, he was charming), who took quite a shine to Chris, and told about how he gets extremely violent when he misses his medication.
