1. All entries submitted must be the author's own work, processing and mounting excepted.
2. If two or more similar slides are entered by the same author, only the first one receiving an acceptance will be eligible for exhibition and/or award. Any following similar slides will not be accepted.
3. Separate entry forms must be completed for each division entered, and all forms must be submitted together with the required entry fees.
4. Cheques must be crossed and made payable to the:
"WESTVILLE CAMERA CLUB".
5. All entries will be returned by Ordinary Parcel Post unless otherwise requested. If any other medium of postage is nominated, please enclose the necessary forms plus extra postage.
6. Late entries will not be accepted.
7 Entries received with insufficient entry fees will not be judged. Such entries will be returned only on receipt of sufficient funds to cover postage.
8. Applicants may not enter the same image in different divisions on the same Salon.
9. The Right of Reproduction for Salon purposes is assumed unless otherwise stated in writing.
10. Entries may be dispatched via a Courier Service. Please ensure timeous arrival of said Courier and sufficient return fees.
11. Works created by computer imagery will be accepted ONLY in the Contemporary Slide Section. The original image must be made by an Imaging camera. Any modification of the original image must be made by the exhibitor. The final work must be on electronic photo quality material, mounting excepted. Please indicate work that has been digitally enhanced with a "D" next to the title on the entry form.
12. Owing to exhibition restraints, not all acceptances may be exhibited.
13. Every care will be taken whilst handling entries, but the organisers will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage of entries.
14. Submission of entries signifies acceptance of the above conditions of entry.
1. A maximum of six slides (5cm x 5cm) suitably mounted, may be entered in each of the following divisions at a fee of R20.00 (R15.00 if pre-paid COD courier service used) per division entered.
a) Pictorial Slides: Entries MAY NOT include contemporary works. Slides which qualify for Nature or Photojournalism will not be accepted.
b) Nature Slides: Entries may include wild animals, birds, insects, flowers, trees, grasses, marine life or any geological subject. Still life subjects, domestic animals, mounted specimens, museum habitats, cultivated plants, floral arrangements, derivations or any form of photographic manipulation and slides which qualify for the Pictorial, PJ. and Contemporary Divisions, will not be accepted.
c) Photojournalism Slides: Includes slides reporting and interpreting human drama, man in his environment, at work or play Pictures must be newsworthy and captured from real life situations as derivations or any form of photographic manipulation, will not be accepted.
d) Contemporary Slides: Entries may include slides created from any form of photographic manipulation. Slides which qualify for the Pictorial, Nature, and PJ Divisions will not be accepted. Works created by computer imagery will be accepted
2. Slides previously successful on any Westville salon will NOT be accepted.
3. Slides must be spotted on the bottom left-hand corner, when viewed correctly.
4. The entrant's name, address, the title of the slide, and the number of the slide (per entry form) MUST appear clearly upon the slide.
5. Slides in mounts that cause projection problems will be excluded.
6. Separate boxes MUST be used for each division entered; with only ONE AUTHOR PER BOX.
