Amy Newcomb. What can I say? I have watched this young lady grow from a photography student to an excellent nature photographer in less than a year. She also founded the Yahoo Wildlife Photography Club, organizing it along with her own site. {Look Out World..she's arrived}Doing something different here. This is a split link...one straight to her nature images and the other straight to her zoo images.

Bert Sirkin has an excellent  non-commercial nature site. Well designed and has some very good nature images. Definitely worth your time to visit.

Diane C. Ross has an interesting site spread over 3 providers. It has several pure nature area's with very good images from places like Africa, Anartica, Galapagos, Alaska, and Churchill. She also gives a running account of these trips, plus information on how to and where to set them up for your own adventure. Another worth while site to visit.

Nature Photography by Gary Tonhouse is a very large and interesting site. Gary, like most of us that spend a lot of time out in & photographing nature, is very strong on "preservation and conservation". Along with a lot content on his home state of Iowa, there is excellent information and some very good nature images to look for.

Harold Wilion,  from our "Special Guest Pages", put up this outstanding site. It fits my idea of what a Nature Photography site and what Nature Photography should look like. I highly recommend it !

Bob Atkins excellent and popular pure nature site. Lot of good photography info and of course a lot of information on Canon. Has a great critique page where you can upload & get your images critiqued by other photographers.

Wildlife Research Photography,  Moose Peterson's place. A much published pro photographer and nature conservation spokesman, moose's 300 + pages are slow down loading, but worth the wait. He has a lot of helpful info packed into this site. Be sure to read Photo How To's, Teddy Bear Test, especially if you are new to nature photography.

Nature Forums/Clubs ... Interactive with news groups, images, &/or chats

As of  9-1-99 this excellent forum no longer exist. MSN saw fit to close it and split the people up into many small and competitive club type sites. You may visit them, but to join and see all of the site, you must agree with MSN to turn over the rights of your images to MSN. Also to join these private clubs, you must use their software,... furnished free?.

Amy Newcomb from our "Special Guest" page, started this club. She has now added to Yahoo's standard corporate type format, a home page that leads to the excellent images & monthly contest.{Click on "Founders Personal H P" lower left on main screen} I highly recommend visiting and joining this free club.

US Fish & Wildlife Service, Dept.of Interior. These are the people that control and regulate our birds, fish and animals. They are also the law enforcement arm for the regulations and federal laws involving these subjects. They have a great and very informative web site, which includes Endangered Species lists, related federal laws and treaties plus much more.

US Forest Service home site. Has some good info, if you want to take the time to dig it out. I wasn't overly impressed with the site, especially if you compare it to the US Fish & Wildlife Service site. It seems to be missing a lot of things I would want in it for the general public's use.

US Park Service home site.

The Wilderness Society home site.

Audubon Society home site.

Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.. Well known by birders for information on birds, etc.

Probably the largest birding organization in North America.

The Nature Conservancy.. A great organization that buys up land and conserves it for nature.

North American Nature Photographers Association
