Tip for organizing and efficient
use of your time.
( for Windows '95 and above only)
When you are viewing thumbnails on the net and want to see the image remember the right mouse button! Always right click the thumbnail or link and choose "Open link in new window" This will allow you to open several thumbnails at once and saves re-downloading the originating page over and over. Even if you have a small CPU in your computer, do this with just one window at a time, thus saving the repeated downloading time of that same source page.
Step by Step Instructions
1.. Right click on thumbnail or link. Select " Open image in new window".
2.. Click upper right windows button to make your new window normal size, if it opens as a small window.
3.. Click the title of the page you came from on the task bar at bottom of screen.
4.. Now repeat the steps above. You can do this as many times as you feel comfortable with. I would suggest opening 3 or 4 windows if you have a 100mhz Pentium or above in your computer.
5.. When you open the last window that you plan to open, in the case of images, select the "1st new window that you opened" on the task bar at bottom of page. At this point in time this image may already be completely downloaded. The others are downloading while you are looking at this one.
6.. When you have finished viewing the image or page... Click on the "X' in the upper right corner of the window. This closes this window. Now, on the task bar at bottom, select the second new page that you opened if computer didn't default to it.
7.. When you have finished viewing the new windows and closed them, you are back where you started.
NOTE... On this site, most of the the thumbnails link to .jpg images that require the full screen mode of I.E. 4xx or Netscape 3xx in order to see the whole image on the screen. Do not go into full screen mode until you are ready to view that particular window's image. Otherwise you will lose the task bar at bottom of screen. Of course when you close the window you are back to a window in normal size. This is just a thought to save all that unnecessary click up, click down, click up, etc. etc. {VBG}
