A wearable mask with finely detailed tooling and carving on the headdress.

The colourful pheasant feathers are an elegant accent .

Inspired by old tales and legends from earlier peoples Paul and I created this mask by molding half a face in leather and sculpting each feather. The wings and tail feathers come from pheasant and grouse.

This humorous piece was actually inspired by the feathers themselves. We were so attracted to the delicate colouring of each one that we combined numerous feathers from a variety of sources and added the claws as well. The face is of wet-formed leather.

A variety of textures embellish this elaborate mask, decorated as well with fine tooling in the leather.

Elegant pheasant feathers shoot out of the top with soft delicate ones framing the face. The fur is a chinchilla pelt.
