Dark Heart

Darkened heart of dreams
weaving your dismal night
of swirling pain and sorrow
that burns in the touch of light

weaving your silent wonders
weaving your painful dreams
weaving each disappointment
into the fiery seams

and others soon will come
carrying darkness to spare
which seeps into your heart
as you hear the stories they share

and weave them in compassion
as they weave into your night
and darkened souls are unshrouded
revealing a brilliant light

so look again at what you wove
and see the starry night
embedded in each darkened soul
you found a brilliant light

in all the pain and darkness
did  you know the power of one
your darkened heart is like a moon
reflecting all the light of the sun.
