                                   you will feel --- at long last --- you've got a handle on Life...not just the lives of
                                   the characters, or Ancient Romans, but a sense of Life of all people..because as
                                   many people have already discovered...people are the same around the world, and
                                   no matter when they lived.   Do I recommend this book?  Well, I've read it three times
