I am complex.

I am deep.

I am introspective.

I am too much for some people to handle.

But I am an artist, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I hold two things in the highest regard: humor and creativity. These are the qualities I employ every single day, and I work dilligently at growing them.

I love freely, which, sadly, is difficult for some people in this culture to understand. I do not think of being loving as a major or frightening investment.

I was born to create, to think, to breathe life into things. This often leads me to prefer making my own art, rather than studying someone else's.

I am extremely perceptive, able to notice minor events, details and nuances.

I do not waste words. Verbal communication is something to be taken seriously, to be used effectively, precisely.

The written word, therefore, is of even greater importance to me, for it can last a lifetime.

I work hard at empowering others, to help them see the beauty within themselves.

I have a strong work ethic and expect others to share that.

I prefer to have one or two best friends, rather than multitudes of acquaintances.

I believe in a god--not the traditional "white guy with a beard sitting in a throne on a cloud" kind. To me, God is energy--the one thing in this Universe that can be omnipresent and omnipotent...and can bind us all together with a common thread.

I believe that a person's emotional intelligence tells a lot more about them than their IQ or number of educational degrees.

I believe that in one way or another, I have been studying psychology since birth.

If you don't know how to find the humor in a situation, you will be lost.

I, like most people, am my own worst critic.

With that in mind, I also believe that all critics (pop culture, academic, and otherwise) work from some unsettled sense of inadequacy within themselves.

I believe that the media is not helping the collective spiritual health of the world by continually showing the death and destruction in the world.

I believe Britney Spears is an alien.

I believe I'll have another cup of coffee.

Call me postmodern, but I believe one's psychological inner workings and one's spirit are often inseparable.

I believe that one's relationship with food is just as important as what one eats.

I believe there is no ideal state of being "well," but we should work toward it everyday. Some days, that means lying on the couch watching 5 Bond movies in a row. The important thing is listening to oneself.

I believe that desire is indeed the root of all suffering.

I believe that money is strictly a tool.

I believe I'll hit the snooze alarm just one more time...
