Away

Boredom comes
To take me away.
Away from here,
To always stay.

I’d love to sit
And wait for life,
But life is running
out of time.

I can’t wait to leave,
To go somewhere.
Somewhere far from here.
Anywhere, I don’t care.

To China, or Mars.
Away from here.
Jupiter, no Pluto;
Back off, stand clear.

I’m taking off,
Never to return;
To travel without you,
To let loneliness burn.

Bummer Day

Wake one morning, can’t feel the heart.
Head is spinning, body falling apart.

Rise from bed, leave the room.
Feet are thudding toward certain doom.

Find the kitchen, still half dead.
Some alive, not the head.

Pour some coffee, overflow cup.
All is hazy, yucky muck.

Find the table, stumble ‘round.
Nasty taste, choke it down.

Taste of death stinging throat,
Churning stomach, read the note.

“Love ya lots, hun, but times have changed,
Arsenic’s cheaper, harder to trace.”

Travels the veins, through everything.
Feel the working, a tingling sting.

Try to resist, try to fight

The...

constant....

urge........
to............

Darkness and Nothing

Darkness comes, daylight is gone.
I run, I run, hurrying home.
When out of the darkness,
Nothing appears.
Loudly I scream,
But nobody hears.
And silently watching,
As nothing moves,
And slowly is growing,
And scaring me too.
“Won’t somebody help me?”
“Does nobody care?”
I say as the nothing
Forms my despair.
“I don’t understand this!”
“It doesn’t make sense!”
I whispered so softly,
As the nothing grew tense.
And suddenly, I realized,
The nothing was gone.
And nothing had been there all along.

Evening Walk

I am walking down the street,
Alone.
No one will come for me;
Cold as stone

I drift around the corner,
The lights are getting dim.
My steps are growning slower;
Nothing.

My mind wonders farther,
Drifting along black seas.
The streets are so empty,
No one except me.

My eyes focus on a door,
The smell of pain in the air.
My heart cries out for more,
But no one hears.

The key enters the room,
Darkness swallows me whole.
Time will heal soon,
The presence is cold.

The pain takes effect,
I tried to resist.
Nothing can help me,
I no longer exist.

............

Innocent Prey

Innocent fear,
Innocent rage,
Constant danger,
Deprived of age.

Quietly sitting,
Nothing to say.
Feeling unwanted,
The innocent prey.

Youth is a curse,
More than a blessing.
Not knowing where to run,
Constantly guessing.

The eyes burrow down upon him,
The innocent prey.
They rip him to pieces,
He cries his dismay.

Shuttered and stunned,
Not a word can be said.
His spirit is broken,
He's living his death.

And all without warning,
The sharper appears.
He really can't help it,
His mind isn't clear.

He runs to the distance,
But there's nowhere to run.
Youth is a curse,
Innocence is done.

Tenth Grade

I wish you would shut up,
I really do.
You just sit there and preach at me,
You must think I’m a fool.

I swear I studied for that test;
I swear I read the book.
I swear I wrote that stupid paper,
I swear I did my homework.

But then again, maybe not,
But I aced it any way.
Isn’t it amazing, what others will do for pay?

So HA HA HA, and pppttthhh
Right in your face.
Nee ner, nee ner, nee ner,
I’m off to the tenth grade.

Watching

Watching,
and
Waiting,
and
Wanting......Forever.

Silent,
and
Sorrow,
and
Shifting in mood.

Ticking,
and
Tocking,
and
Take it tomorrow.

Watching
in
Sorrow
in
Wait of the new.

............

Why?

Why do you dress the way you do?
Why do you think the way you think?
Why do you move the way you move?
Why do you dream what you dream?

Why do you do the things you do?
What is your reason to stay?
Why do you need to say what you say?
Why is there a today?

Until you can answer these questions,
Leave me alone.

............

Yesterday

Yesterday, you made today.
Becoming fear,
The games we play.

Today, you made tomorrow.
Becoming dreams,
Building sorrows.

Then tomorrow, became today.
The fear has left,
The sorrow stays.

Then today, became yesterday.
The dreams broken,
With games they play.
