Disclaimer- Wow, these things get old quick. All of the characters of Excalibur and the like are Marvel’s characters and not mine, but this story is copyrighted to me. This is just for fun, so don’t sue! MY BLUE EYED GIRL Part 1: Initial Jaw Openings "Wot the bloody ‘ell?!" Pete Wisdom shouted. "Pryde! We’re ya run off to, ya git? One minute she was weepin away and I go off to get ‘er a drinky, and now she’s gone! Is this some sort o’ a prank?" Pete glanced around the room. "Fine!" He gave up and walked down the hallway and into the elevator. Grumbling and pushing the correct button, he arrived in the kitchen, where Douglock stood in the middle of, jaw open. "Ey! What’s the matter, Lock?" "Well, Mr. Wisdom, it appears that Kurt has been teleported away somewhere," Douglock explained. "Wot? Wait a minute….I’m beginning to see a pattern here!" Pete said. Meggan peeked her head into the kitchen. "Does anyone know where Peter is?" Meggan cheerfully asked. "He and I were going to work on something together. Last I checked he was working out, but now he’s gone." "Oy! Wasn’t once enough?!" Pete said, throwing his hands in the air. "Why again?" "What?" Meggan inquired, confused. "It appears, Meggan," Douglock interjected, "that Mr. Wisdom believes that Peter, Kurt, and Kitty have been teleported away again, like they were not too long ago." Meggan nodded her head in remembrance. "Ah," she said. "But wait, wasn’t last time a test or something? That’s what Kitty said, a logic trap. But what if this time it wasn’t so much of a test?" Meggan’s eyes grew with concern. "It’s time for a team meeting," Pete decided. *** Running through the dark corridors, I whimpered. Margali Szardos, what have you gotten yourself into this time?! I had thought that my power would have compensated for my resurrection of the demon, but I was wrong. And when I was corrupted by the demon, who snatches me up at my weakest moment but Belasco? Now he has the soul sword and me, to do with as he pleases. Well, at least I managed to escape. This time, though, I’ll think I’ll make it far enough away to cast a spell. Chanting and mentally preparing, I began the spell. Why does it take so long to cast spells in Limbo? Last time it took me so long that they caught me….. Turning around another corridor, I walked into what looked like a garden. Except the only thing in it was a tree. Running to the tree, I ran past it and tripped over one of it’s roots. Chanting repeatedly, I began to wonder why my spells weren’t working. Usually, it takes a mere thought to cast them. Here, it takes forever. Is it Limbo? Or what if…..what if Belasco managed to block all my spells?! That would leave me utterly defenseless! Getting up from the ground, I turned the other way and continued to run, determined to get out of here. Still chanting, I walked through a door at the end of the garden. The door was small, and I had to duck and crawl to enter it. Crawling on my hands and knees, I couldn’t see what was up ahead. All I could see was light. Finally, I made it through and fell to the floor. The room filled with laughter as I got up off my butt and turned around. There was Belasco, laughing at me and my pathetic attempt to escape. "You know, don’t you?" he taunted. "You know that I took away your powers? Your only defense? I did, and now you’re nothing but a slave to me, Margali! A slave!" Belasco continued to laugh as I kneeled down, crying. Someone, please, anyone come help me. Please…….. *** "And how are things o’er at the mansion, Sam?" Rahne asked. "Well, they’re okay," Sam mumbled. He had been upset lately over his hard time with fitting in the X-Men. "Ah’m getting used to being an X-Man." "And how is yuir sis?" Rahne queried. "Well, she’s okay," Sam said. "She said she having a nice time at the Academy, but ah have a hard time believin that. Especially with none utha then Miss Emma Frost ovah theah." "Well, Sam, people do change, ye know," Rahne said. "Well, will ye inform the others of our news?" "Yes, I will, Rahne," Sam said. "And tell Kitty we all hope that she gets better soon." "Thanks, Sam, and we do, too," Rahne said. "Oh, I forgot to ask! Any news o’er there concerning X-Factor?" Rahne had been worried about X-Factor ever since she left the team. Especially with it’s current line-up. "Well, what you heard was true, Rahne," Sam replied. "Sabretooth and Mystique are currently ‘members’ for whatah reasons that they are." Rahne pouted at the news. She was hoping things had improved. "Excalibur!" Pete blared over the intercom. "Report to the kitchen IMMEDIATELY! I repeat, all members of Excalibur report to the kitchen immediately!" Rahne looked at Sam and smiled. "Well, trouble calls, Sam!" Rahne grinned. "Take care of yeself, y’hear?" Sam grinned and nodded. "You, too, Rahne!" Sam greeted. The screen went blank with a push of a button, and Rahne got up and ran into the kitchen, where Pete Wisdom, Douglock, Meggan, Moira, and Amanda already stood. "All right, everyone’s ‘ere," Pete began. "First of all, for those of you who have not yet noticed, Peter, Kurt, and Kitty were kidnapped again." Rahne’s jaw dropped open, as did Moira’s and Amanda’s, at the news. "But, we think we have an idea of where they may be. Douglock suspects that they were kidnapped by the same person that they were last time. Belasco." Already open jaws were opened even wider at this hint of trouble, and worrisome looks were spread out all around. Questions flew at Pete like birds learning to fly. "What are ye gonna do?!" "Query, does this mean that we will be going to Limbo?" "My mother must be involved in this! Knowing Margali, she wouldn’t give up a chance like this to cause trouble!" "Och! What are we gonna do?!" "If Brian were here, he’d know what to do….." "Oy!" Pete muttered to himself. "Would you all just be QUIET?!" The jaws were shut and everyone’s eyes focused on Pete. "I am planning on taking a course of action, but that is only after we get some information! Amanda, you said your mother was up to some trouble. What is it?" "Well, from what I was able to dig up from certain spells that I cast," Amanda voiced, "she’s in Limbo." "Would she pull a stunt like this?" Pete asked. Amanda reluctantly nodded. "Ah, all right then, we have our culprit, we know where we’re going, I want everybody in full gear and back here in ten minutes!" Everyone split up and went their own directions to pick up their own spandexed outfits while Pete stood in the kitchen and lit a cigarette. Moira walked by, picked the cigarette out of Pete’s hands and stomped on it. "Bloody jock!" Pete said. Moira turned and looked at him. "Look, ye spaleen, ye will cease doing such things in this building or else ye will cease living, got that?!" Moira ordered. Pete scowled again and stuck his tongue out. Moira rolled her eyes and walked away. Glancing around the kitchen, Pete pulled out another cigarette and lit it. "I’m gonna have me a fag," Pete said. Before he could really enjoy it, though, a strong stream of water shot at his face and it was put out. Moira walked into the room with a large water gun. "And don’t think I’m not ready to take ye down fer it," Moira threatened. Cocking her gun, she turned around and walked away. *** The man stood outside in his trenchcoat, scowling. He was in the rain with an umbrella, smoking, and didn’t seem too happy about it. From his cursing I could tell he was English. Last time I "visited" Excalibur, they had no such member. Oh, well, he seemed to be a good enough host body. Walking up behind him, I could tell he was too busy worrying about enjoying his smoke and complaining about the cold rain to notice me. I stepped on slippery rock and slipped a few feet from the man. The man turned around, a surprised look on his face, shouting, "Who the ‘ell are you?" "My name is Gravemoss," I told him. "But that will help you none." Before he could utter another word, I possessed him. Chuckling, I glanced through this man’s memories. What a perfect host body! He was a mutant, an expert spy, and was apparently the one in charge of the next mission, or at least he wanted to be. Perfect! What better way to sabotage Excalibur like Belsaco ordered me to than to become one of them? They won’t know what’s hit 'em once they get to Limbo. *** "All right, everyone’s here again," Pete said. "Now everyone grab hands and be quiet so Amanda can concentrate." Douglock turned to Rahne and held her hand, as Rahne smiled at Meggan reassuringly and took her hand. Meggan, holding onto Pete’s hand, worried about Kitty. I could tell just by the look on her face. Oh well, to the task at hand. Grabbing Pete’s hand and informing Douglock that he had to hold my hand, too, I began to concentrate. Teleporting this many people was not above my powers, but it wasn’t as easy as it was jaunting myself around. I miss the days when it was only me I had to worry about….. With an amassing amount of light surrounding them, they were transported to Limbo. Before they could manage to do so, Pete’s fell, almost deliberately, out of the circle. Jostling the group, some of the people lost their grip on each other’s hands. "No!" I shouted, knowing the consequences of breaking away from the group. They would all be teleported to different places in Limbo. There may be no way that we could ever find them! I materialized, alone, in a cavern. Glancing around, I saw I was in the throne room. And I wasn’t alone. "Hello, Belasco," I scowled. "Good evening," he greeted. "And let the games begin!" To be continued in Part 2: In Limbo in limbo Get it? They’re IN limbo, the place, but they’re also "in limbo"! Ha! I crack me up! Ahh…….never mind. Look, you know the drill.
