At 2:58 AM, on the morning of Wednesday, August 27th, Veronica Zhao Reilley was born to Christopher and Lei Zhao Reilley. She weighed in at 8 lbs, 2 oz., was twenty inches long, had a head circumference of 36 cm., long shiny black hair, and bright, wide-open brown eyes. She was wide eyed and alert, looking at her dad before she was even fully born.

A good natured baby, her parents believe her to be the best and brightest child ever born, but she certainly is one of the most beautiful. Fortunately, she favors her mother. ;)

Thank you all for your well wishes and your kind words.

Veronica's Dedication was on Sunday, October 19, at the 11 AM Mass at Calvary Baptist Church in Ayer. It was a small, but comfortable ceremony, and we then retired to our cozy little home and partied with family and friends.

Well, life at the Reilley household is stellar, simply the best time of my life, personally. I am blessed with a lovely baby girl, my wife is the perfect woman for me, I am busy and needed, and all in all, every day is Thanksgiving. ;)

Veronica is now six months old, and has become the center of our world. She delights and amazes me every time I see her. She grows a little bit each day, and I am constantly amazed at how this precious little bundle has changed our lives. She has been a little angel, and so well behaved that I'm a little bit worried! I mean, is she saving up a big dose of insanity for her old Dad when she is a teenager?

It amazes me how much she has grown and developed in six months. She is eating meat, rolling over, and is just almost but not quite ready to start crawling. She has developed her own personality, which is quite sunny, and has a few favored games that always mange to crack her up, filling the house with her infectious laugh.

Feeding time is a favorite time for us, because we get to have so much fun! Ronnie is a great eater, she picked up the basics in no time, and has proven to be willing to try new things. We keep her away from sweets, of course, but rice cereal and bananas, or applesauce always gets a big smile!

After dinner, we play and roughouse, doing some exercises, or just swooping and diving around the room. She loves her floor gym, and will play happily for quite awhile with the bright toys. Dad always holds her up so that she can stand on her incredibly chubby little sausage legs, which she can now do for over a full minute, and she can kick on off the covers with ease! ;) Sometimes I think that she will walk before she can crawl, she is very eager to get to it, and tries harder every day.
