I see you sitting across the way
 Hurt and saddness in your eyes
Oh how I long to reach out,
 To comfort you and remove the pain.
To hold you in my arms
 To make your day bright
If only I could make it better
 If only I could remove the saddness
To see you smile again
 To hear your sweet laugh
If only it were that easy
 If I only could.
