'I Fell In Love With A Russian Devil-Woman'
Writer: Stuart Taylor -- Pencils: Dave Roberts -- Inks: Mark Woolley
Following the events depicted in Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks, Carl Malone finds himself travelling through time and space
with Octobriana and her Underground -- a ragtag bunch of freedom
fighters, including Tarquin the intellectual talking gorilla with
an appalling taste in Haiwain shirts, and Rasputin the alleged
'mad monk' who history blames for the downfall of the Russian
royal family.
Malone feels that he may have made a mistake by pursuing Octobriana,
and finds her brutal, uncompromising nature disturbing and compelling
in equal measure. Although it means sacrificing some of his previously
held beliefs, Malone embarks on a passionate affair with the Russian
Devil-Woman which will eventually end in tragedy.
The eight-page strip is just one included within the first issue
of Romantic Tails, an anthology title which puts a unique '90s
spin on the romance comics of the 1950s.
