WHAT'S AN ARTFUL SALAMANDER?

Artful Salamander is the name of the company who published the two issue 
Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks mini-series and produced the eight-page 'I Fell 
In Love With A Russian Devil-Woman' strip for Head Press' Romantic Tails 1. 

Due to the slightly precarious nature of the comics industry at the moment, Artful 
Salamander is currently taking a self-publishing breather, although it has since 
contributed to Alchemy Texts Armageddon Patrol 1. 

The next Artful Salamander project is the tentatively-titled Octobriana: Underground 
Tales graphic novel. This book will collect the Filling In The Blanks mini-series in a 
'remastered' format (select sequences redrawn, digital sound, etc), as well the inclusion 
of new material. Octobriana: Underground Tales will be released to coincide with the 
COMICS 99 event in Bristol on 2-4 April 1999.



		
WHO ARE ARTFUL SALAMANDER?

Stuart Taylor (Writer, Publisher)
Stuart wrote the two issue Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks mini-series for Artful 
Salamander, as well as the eight-page Octobriana strip for Head Press' Romantic Tails 
1. At the moment Stuart is editing the Octobriana: Underground Tales graphic novel, as 
well as developing new comic projects for other publishers.

Dave Roberts (Penciller)
As well as pencilling all of the Artful Salamander Octobriana material, Dave has also 
worked on Vamperotica, Femforce and Mantra. He is currently considering a number of
job offers, as well as working with Stuart on new comic book ideas and proposals.

Mark Woolley (Inker)
Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks was Mark's first published comics work. He is 
currently on the board of the UK Comics Creators Guild.

Shaun Bryan (Penciller)
Shaun has drawn the eight-page 'Commie Zombie Dictator From Hell' Octobriana strip 
which will appear in the Octobriana: Underground Tales graphic novel. Shaun is also
involved in the remastering of Octobriana: Filling In The Blanks for Underground Tales
and is the artist on the exclusive, all-new, online Octobriana comic strip.

John A Short (Writer, Penciller)
John worked with Stuart on the original, award-winning, Revolution Comics Octobriana 
mini-series (1996-7), and is the author of the 'Commie Zombie Dictator From Hell' strip
which will appear in the Octobriana: Underground Tales graphic novel. John's Alchemy 
Texts publishing house is featured on Artful Online.
