Our perceptions
of the world happen when our environment stimulates our senses. Images
are conjured, and sounds are formed as the physical reaches the psyche -
as signals excite neurons to fire. But experience is more than just stimuli, and it is more than just perception. Experience involves our capacity for memory and our ability to feel - quite automatically - the underlying associations tied to our sensations. Where do stimuli and memory converge to produce experience? They converge in the second world of manifestation in a corner of the cerebral universe called the Astral Plane. |
