Daisy

In Memoriam

In April of 1997, we adopted a small dilute tortie kitten, whom we named Daisy Victoria Chance. She was the delight in our hearts....And in September of 1997, she became very ill, it was a disease called FIP, fatal to kittens and catz...My Hubby and I each dedicated a poem to her...these are those.......*It is also with much sorrow that we never took any pictures of her.*

In Memoriam
Daisy Victoria Chance

Roads go ever ever on
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea:
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.

Roads go ever ever on,
Under cloud and under star,
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar,
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green
And trees and hills they long have known.

Summer Kitten
A summers Kitten,
Born in the spring
fated to live till the end of summer,
she caught our hearts and touched our souls,
such a sweet baby,

A summers kitten,
twas our Daisy Victoria,
she brought tears of laughter into our life,
with her crazy stunts, thegirlz tolerated her,
now even they miss her,

A summers kitten
she slept curled in your beard,
purring and kneading as she slept so softly
I used to reach out and pet her as you both slept,
our sweet little kitten gurl

A summers kitten,
she'd sit under the coffee table waiting for a treat,
knowing that we'd never be able to resist her sweet face,
and as soon as she knew, she'd be up in our laps,
purring and loving us.......

A summers kitten,
who brought us so much love and happiness,
she's still here in our hearts and still playing hid'nseek under the
bed, still romping up on top of the bed,
a bit of tortie quicksilver we love so much......

Our summers kitten
we'll miss you,
and we'll never forget you,
Sweet Daisy Victoria,
