I am Pisces. Born in the Spring of 1955, I was raised on a farm in eastern Kansas, where the Missouri hills and forests roll gently across the border. I was fortunate. I grew up in nature, running in the wind, among the plants and animals. From a very early time I sensed something. I felt the heartbeat of the earth. I saw the mystery of existence, the miracle of creation.
Safe and secure in a loving family, I grew strong under the sun.
In the Autumn of my eighteenth year, I entered pre-med school.
Physics, chemistry, calculus....yikes! It wasn't very long before my creative side began to get the better of me. More and more I
turned to my guitar, and eventually left school and pursued the life of a songwriter. I traveled through most of America, looking for something......another song....a poem....a lover....a place to play the songs......driven by whatever it is that pushes a young artist on. In about 1978 I landed in a small community high on the continental divide, in the middle of Colorado. And here I am to this day.
Between playing in bands on the weekends, I have spent my time hiking in the mountains, contemplating, studying, and following the insistent urges of my ever curious mind. I enjoy learning about electronics, computers, chemistry, physics, math, machinery......technology in general. I like experimenting and inventing. I found an old computer, and taught myself assembly language programming. (I did finally purchase a new Pentium.)
I also enjoy painting, making jewelry..... doing anything artistic and creative. Underlying everything else, is a profound interest in philosophy, culture, anthropology, poetry......anything that reflects or expresses the human condition and the movements of the human heart. And always there is the music, and the searching for the next song..........
