Yup! This is me! Pretty tough looking eh? I'm the only hockey player I know who helps someone up after accidentally knocking them down... Seriously, a great sport - very exhilarating! I hope to continue being involved with hockey and maybe even help coach at some point. I am presently the Newsletter Convenor for the London Devilettes Girls Hockey Association. This photo is from when I played with the London Devilettes Hockey Association in 1996. I was lucky enough to see the Women's World Games in Kitchener (April 1997) and attended the Gold Game. Yeah Canada!!! I met and got autographs from teams China, Norway and Sweden. If I could only go to the Olympics in Nagano, Japan ...ah to dream... My favourite hockey team - Women's Team Canada... and favourite NHL team - the New York Rangers (win or lose). | |
I am also involved in recreational baseball as a catcher. I have been playing with the team for 3 years and I think we have won all three years. I have twice received the award for "most improved player". Hey, shouldn't be long and I will be good. Hee hee. I also like to hike, bike, play tennis, rollerblade (not as often since I hit a patch of new pavement and did a sinking, screaming face dive), swimming, fishing and canoeing. I have been shooting muzzleloading rifles (like Daniel Boone used to shoot - in case you didn't know what the heck that is) since I was about 8 years old. I used to travel to southern Indiana twice a year to compete. The photo is of me competing on the Canadian Team for a Can-Am Championship. Some of my favourite links are: London Devilettes Hockey Association, Women's Hockey in Canada, TSN (Canada), National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, Baseball |
