...the bears you deserve...

" Officer Burt "

This bear was commissioned for an article about

Good Bears of the World

for the magazine Teddy Bear Review that will include pictures of teddy bears dressed as police, firefighters or in medical outfits. The bears will then be donated to Good Bears of the World for a future fund raiser.

I have been a member of Good Bears of the World for 9 years and am official "Bearo # 490".

This bear was named after my grandfather, Burt Nation, who in the 1930's and 40's was police chief in Hermiston, Oregon.

The bear stands 3 1/4" tall and is fully jointed and wired for movement. He is made of dyed and vintage upholstery velvets with black onyx eyes, gold embroidery, gold beads for buttons, and a gold charm star. The tiny 7/8" non-jointed good-bear he is holding is made of upholstery velvet with black bead eyes and a red silk ribbon tied around it's neck.
