He will star as Deiter, a character he made famous on the set of SNL, the movie will revolve around Dieter traveling to the US to rescue his kidnapped monkey. Steven Brill (in the cast of Big Daddy & The Wedding Singer) will direct Adam Sandler in "Little Nicky" about a father who's son is reluctant to take over the family business because the father is Satan. Shooting is scheduled to start in October. Due out sometime this fall, "Joe the King" Frank Whaley's directorial debut, has such stars as Val Kilmer, John Leguizamo, & Ethan Hawke, but the lead is an unknown by the name of Noah Fleiss. 07.26.99- Kevin Smith, attending Chicago Comic Con, reportedly stated that the long anticipated DOGMA will be released the second week of October. Word is that Lion's Gate has acquired DOGMA. Catholic League - 0 Open-minded Smith fans - 1 well, it seems that the Diabolical plans set in motion by Satan's Children (Catholic League) have been foiled again. Sandra Bullock is set to produce (and possibly star in) the upcoming Warner Bros. release entitled "The List", a story about a man who gives his girlfriend a list of things she must do before he will marry her. Sounds like a groovy flick, course, I'm a Bullock fan anyhoo. 07.21.99- Well, Apparently, due to the increasing popularity of the Blair Witch Project, there have been some release schedule shuffles. Deep Blue Sea is moving up by a few days, and Mystery Men has dropped back to August 6th, which coincidentally enough was the original release date scheduled. 07.19.99- Deon Richmond, Patrick Dempsey, Lance Henriksen and Emily Mortimer join SCREAM 3. Piper Perabo will play Violet, the lead role in COYOTE UGLY for director David McNally and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Stu Kreiger has written PAMELA WEST for Screenland Pictures about a reversal stab at "The Wizard of Oz" where Dorothy is the shrew, the Wicked Witch of the West is lovable and Toto is a pit bull. Martin Scorsese met with Disney to discuss the pic GANGS OF NEW YORK to star Leonardo DiCaprio and possibly Robert DeNiro about Irish hoodlums. The film may be Scorsese's and DiCaprio's next pic with a possible November start. 07.18.99- Robert Rodriguez has his grublies on Mike Allred's MADMAN. He's in the middle of another film at the moment, but Shooting could begin this time next year... I have never truly been a fan of MADMAN comics, though I've read one or two and thought they were great, my comic addiction at the time had no room for another title. It's going to be interesting to see how Rodriquez does with a Comic movie. this is going to be interesting. 07.15.99- Jeffrey Combs is cast to play Wormtongue in the upcoming Lord of the Rings... I knew Mr. Combs would "worm" his way into this film, not surprising as he has worked with PJ before. (The Frighteners) 07.14.99- Keanu Reeves has signed to do two sequels for Matrix, which will be filmed back to back and released within months of each other...Isn't this one of the cardinal cinematic sins? 07.13.99- Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" project is going to cost $190 million US second only to Titanic...There has been a ruckus raised about the cost of this project. It would seem that media, as well as fans, are so eager to condemn this project, that they have overlooked the fact that there are 3, count them, 3 films coming out of that 190 mil. Back to top..
