the experience of the space between

"...the passage from one (place) to another envolved not a journey but a change of elements."

- Italo Calvino

A passage, as either a physical or mental space, can be a profound experience of places and moments. It provides a linkage not only between origin and destination, past and future, reality and imagination, but also between the edges of the passage itself. The space between is not something that is left-over and undesirable, but the most essential component of our experience of being and experience of landscape, both rural and urban.

A passage brings together time and place.
A passage provokes dialogue with its settings.
A passage mediates between two worlds.
A passage draws our imagination.
A passage triggers interactions.
A passage engages our senses and memories.
A passage transcends the spirit.
A passage amplifies the experience through discovery.
A passage leads to celebrations.
A passage integrates the joy of public living.
A passage turns our perspective.
A passage traces the evolution of values.
A passage loses you in a paradise.
A passage transforms the scale.
A passage perfects nature.
A passage extends the concept.
A passage to be continued.
