I was so excited when I found that my favorite MUD client would compile under Win32 that I went out and downloaded the source and the CygWin32 package immediately. Much to my dismay, I discovered that CygWin32 wouldn't compile anything... not even "Hello World". I then spent some time kicking at it, and two days later I had the compiler working. Then I discovered that the unix/Config file was wrong, using a different variable name than the one used by unix/tfconfig. Also a variable either left out of unix/Config or missing from the CygWin32 configuration for BASH was causing problems. After fishing through the source I found the changes I needed to make, and soon had a working copy of TF! Wishing to share this with the world, I quickly (about two hours) hacked out an installer using the WISE installer package which does everything a non-sophisticated user could want. And here you have the results! At last I have solved the no-scrollback-under-win95 problem!!! Hidden within the Win32 API are functions to resize console screen buffers. I added such support and allowd selection through an environment variable. Please test this all out for me! Installer Relase history
