Adena's Progression

It is March 2000 and I had to put one section together before traveling to the Arctic Winter Games that were held in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada One section turned into another section....
and another section.  Then I had to leave! Now I am into the middle of April.  I had just finished pretending to be a secretary for a couple of weeks and was getting ready to spend quality and a huge quantity of time in my studio.
I am now on a roll.  I spent 3 blissful days working from 6am until midnight each day on the quilt.  I learned that if I wear a watch in my studio and know the time, then I think it is time to be tired, even if I am not tired before I look at my watch. At this point I began the search for a name for my faerie.  I couldn't continue working on her until she was named.  I now have to go back into the real world for awhile to again pretend to be a secretary again.  I kept reminding myself that I could buy more fabric for dyeing - which I did do.
June has arrived and the sun stays up all day and all night, and I am back to working on Adena.  She is coming along quite well now.  I am still working a couple of days a week but have 3 to devote to my quilt. I got the top pieced on June 30th at 1am.   Unfortunately the quilt didn't get done in time for the local quilt guild show....it will be in next years show!
