What Is It All About
WORDS!
WORDS ARE SUCH SELFISH THINGS,
THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD
IS ONLY KNOWN TO THE WRITER.
HOW I PERCEIVE THE WORDS I WRITE,
AND HOW YOU PERCEIVE THE WORDS YOU READ,
DIFFER,
BUT DOES THAT MEAN YOUR PERCEPTION IS WRONG?
WHY SHOULD IT?
AFTER ALL, WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS,
WE CAN ALL LOOK AT THE SAME THING,
AND ALL SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
DOES THAT MAKE OUR PERCEPTION SHALLOW?
OR THE WORDS DEEP?
OR ARE THE WORDS ALIVE,
DO THEY CHANGE FOR EACH READER,
IS IT THAT WE LOOK FOR SOMETHING THAT
RELATES TO OURSELVES PERSONALLY?
BUT THEN, HOW COULD YOU UNDERSTAND
WHAT I WRITE,
YOU ARE NOT ME.
YOU DO NOT HAVE MY HISTORY,
MY EMOTIONS, MY DREAMS,
MY HOPES AND FEARS.
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN.
WE ARE ALL UNIQUE.
I AM THE WORDS AND THE WORDS ARE I.
I AM THE WORD AND THE WORD IS ME.
IS IT ART?
WHAT IS ART?
IS ANYTHING OR EVERYTHING ART?
CAN OUR POOR SCRATCHING AT CANVAS,
AND SCRIBBLING ON PARCHMENT
COMPARE TO THE ARTISTIC BEAUTY
OF THE WORLD?
SO WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
THE WORDS I WRITE ALL HAVE MEANINGS.
A DICTIONARY WILL TELL YOU THE MEANING
OF A WORD.
BUT WHEN YOU SURROUND A WORD
WITH OTHER WORDS,
THE MEANING OF THE WORD CHANGES.
WHEN I SAY THE WORLD.
DO I MEAN MY WORLD,YOUR WORLD
OR OUR WORLD?
AGAIN IT IS OUR OWN PERCEPTION
I WAS GOING TO TRY TO EXPLAIN
SOME OF THE POEMS.
BUT MAYBE I SHOULD
LET YOU EXPLAIN THEM TO ME.
