Because of their size, the cotton cover sheets have to be woven by two people simultaneously on giant looms. During the three days required for completion, couples from Ban Huafai, Tambon Nachumseang, Amphur Nongrua, Khon Kaen, spend an average of 7 hours a day together working on the blanket. These weavings are especially popular as wedding gifts as they symbolise the importance of unity between two people. They come in varying sizes and patterns.
