After graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1997, he went to the University of Waterloo for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and Speech Communication. Seeing that was not for him, he moved to English: Rhetoric and Professional Writing in his second year. After suffering a nervous breakdown, he decided university wasn't for him, and he left to work full time and to find out what he wanted out of life. Believing he has found it in writing and improvisation, his goals are to publish his book (which is currently in the works) and join the Second City players in Toronto. For now, he works for a large newspaper in Toronto, so maybe he will end up there.
This column first came into existence in the University of Waterloo's student newspaper Imprint, and ran from Winter Term 1998 to the end of Fall Term 1998. Along with the column, he was a proofreader, assistant sports editor, sports editor and arts reporter/reviewer. Now his column is seen here, in the times when he's actually writing it, and not just going "damn, gotta get to that website..."
Other than that, he's had a rather normal life. He likes playing pool, darts, video games, listening to music, reading, watching movies, writing, smoking cigars, driving around in his newly-aquired but rapidly beat-up Mitsubishi Lancer (and yes, he misses his old beat-up Honda Civic very much), hiking and hanging out with his friends.
