Your website is a welcomed privilege for me. I amd an Okie, born in Muskogee, raised in Tulsa. I write Oklahoma style stories. My short stories have been published in England and in US, and I have won or placed in many writing contests. I was raised o Sapula Road, old highway 66 and my father had a pottery shop, and filling station. I remember the customers and employees who visited or worked in my father's businesses and use their characters with my own ideas in my stories. Good luck to you, your fe low members. I've been in the Ardmore area since 1994. I used to manage your local Shoney's Restaurant until we closed without notice. I am now back in college to pursue a degree in English and hopefully go on to earn an MFA and eventually a PhD. My wife and family are behind me all the way, I have confidence and the humility of my faith, knowing who gives me the ability. What more do I need? Maybe some local writing friends, eh? I hope to join you all at a meeting soon though I dont know how prolific I'll be wit taking 18 hours this semester.
