Deirdre, was a character created, mostly to be a relief for some of my other characters. I don’t play her a lot, on story boards, or chat, but enjoyed making up the site for her. Deirdre is a character based on the Irish myths, but with a dark twist. In the original story, Deirdre is in love with Naoise, but is forced to marry King Conchobhar MacNessa. He hires a killer to murder Naoise, but then when Deirdre will still not submit to him, he hands her over to the same killer. Knowing her fate at his hands, she throws herself from the chariot, and dies as her head hits the stones. In the classical myth, when her body is presented to the king, he takes pity on her, and buries her next to her true love, and from their graves, two trees grow, and mingle together, intertwined for eternity. My version of this character takes over from this point. Her Sire, whom she despises, found her battered body on the road, and preformed the dark trick on her, then came to the crypt where her coffin was, and retrieved her, taking her as his Princess of the Night. When her coffin was buried, she was not in it, for she was already with he who had taken her death from her. She lives to serve him, allowed only to drink from him, but in her hatred of what he did to her, she practices the magical arts, both light, and the dark arts as well. Deirdre was the one that brought *Maya* back from the brink of death, and then fell back into the shadows. She waits only, to find her solace, free herself from her sire, and be with the re-incarnation of her dear sweet Naoise. Telekinetic powers, with the use of magic, and some Telepathy, primarily with animals however. Limited temporary shape shifting, due to spells and glamour. Control of a familiar, a small white cat.
