Rogue is a character, based loosely on the X-men character of the same name. I took the concept, from my favorite female X-man, for a game with another player, and then it just sort of stuck. She was ~born~ in the Green Dragon Inn. Rogue was a human, with some strange abilities. Born a mutant, something other, perhaps more than human, she never fit in, and wandered often, one night bumping into a man named Kaylem Arade Dian'tren, who was like her, apart from it was his race, that had the affliction she did. Rogue and this one, are unable to touch others, a curse that keeps them from showing love and affection, to even those they hold most dear. In Kaylem’s case, emotions of those he touches was amplified, though in Rogue’s case, she absorbs the thoughts, memories, and abilities of those she touches. While this power would seem wonderful, hurtful, and destructive things are absorbed as easily as good ones, and often those she touches are left little more than vegetables. In talk, Kaylem spoke of a tavern he frequented, and introduced her to the Green Dragon Inn, a place where she saw more different types of people, in one night, than she ever had in all her life. Rogue took the Inn as a sort of second home, sharing many bottles of wine with the patrons there, and quickly becoming a regular within the soft music that played. While there, she made friends with a strong, brooding sort, named Eternal, a vampire, who told her that she might better harness her abilities, that which she called a curse, if only she would allow him to bring her into his world. She consented, and it was arranged for the next night, for he had to get permission from his own Sire. The night came, and Rogue waited within the Inn, nervously biting her nails, wondering if this would really work, if this change would keep her from hurting people, and herself. As she sat in anxiety, Malgorzata Draculesti entered. Malgorzata was a woman of incredible charm and cunning, and within moments, she reviled herself as Eternal’s Sire, and asked Rogue if she really wanted to join her. Thinking that Eternal had subsided to his mother, she agreed, and in a painstaking ritual, full of beating hearts and blood lust, Mal turned the quiet, flirty southern belle, into a creature of the night. With her blood, Malgorzata gave Rogue immortality, a greater control of her powers, and a double edged sword of a family at last. Rogue had never had a family that she knew of before, but with the Draculesti Family blood in her veins, she finally had one, no matter how much it fought. When Eternal found out, that Rogue had submitted to the Matriarch of his family, he was horribly hurt, and this brought a huge, terribly sorrowful break between them, and their friendship, that she regrets to this day. With her family in turmoil, their visits became less and less frequent to the Inn, and Rogue was once more on her own. She has heard word, that they have moved to a place called the House Tempest, and hopes to some day be re-united with those she calls kin. Name: Rogue (Draculesti) Age: 22 mortal years + 15 or so immortal years Hair: Long silken auburn waves, with white bangs. Eyes: Startlingly bright green, with flecks of blue Stature: Tall, physically strong, though can appear demure Skin: Pale State: Vampire, childe of the Matriarch Clan: Lasombra , Draculesti Lineage Abilities: Can touch anyone, and absorb thoughts, memories, abilities and appearance. The length of time she can hold the appearance or abilities, depends on the power of that whom she has come into contact with. Draining: Rogue can emotionally drain a person to the point of exhaustion, or even drive them to suicide. Siren: Rogue is typically a siren, feeding off those sleeping, or enthralled, without killing them. Using her mutant powers, Rogue is able to manipulate their own thoughts, to make them not remember the feeding. . Strong Telekinetic powers, and advanced Telepathy Eternal Drink: Rogue carries with her a flask, that never seems to empty. Only her closest friends know how this happens, and it is very useful, when she needs to feed, and yet can not do so.
