Originally, I set out to write a song that would include a lyric about how speaking in tongues is the perfect way to pray and give thanks, because I just was not hearing that in any songs. I made a primitive recording of it but rarely performed it. After Lynn and I were married (in 1997) she told me she had a copy of that old tape and that she played it so much, she knew every song and had worn out the tape. She encouraged me to relearn this song and start to perform it, thinking the lyrics would help people today as they had helped her so many years before. I reworked it and added a bridge. I am proud of how clearly these lyrics communicate God's Word,
and l'm so glad Lynn asked me to revive it.
