The 80's were some of the best times! Now with it almost going into the milenium, I am forced to stop and look back at the great times. What happened from to 80's and early 90's to now? Were they always this bad? The world is filled with problems and I know that in the 80's they were too, but I didn't know about them! The movies were sappy and great! The music was happy-go-lucky and great! The times were just all around great! But then we entered the 90's and something happened! The music changed...around 94 grunge hit it big and everyone traded in their leggins and high heals for huge flanel shirts and baby doll dresses. Then the rap hit and everyone wanted to be black, even though the white honkeys never really were any good at acting, they still tried, and I give them kudos for that...I don't know I guess I never saw the beauty in that movement, but hey..for everyone who did, go for it! :) Now very slowly the music movement is going back to that happy-go-lucky and all around great stuff...and I just want to be the first to say I am happy!
Now I need to say something about movies. In the 80's movies were really great! I love them so much to this day! :) When I go to a movie now, I always ask myself what happened? Did the producers die...or move away to some private 80's movie producer island that I can't find...because if I could, I'd be the next in line to find some relestate! movies are so different these days and I just don't know why! The Brat Pack is all grown up now and I miss em! They need to all get back together and make some more movies! That would be a movie I would pay 5 bucks to see...heck! I would pay 8 bucks to see it at a nicer theater! The plots of movies these days suck big toe. I wish I had an answer to why the movies changed so drasticly, but I don't yet...maybe with great music coming back, great movies will too!
