For much too long now, ISRU has practiced bigotry and discrimination by showing Rutgers just one side of Islam. Their unwillingness to make a public statement against this bigotry has led to this boycott. The Executive Board, was asked at the end of last semester to make a public statement against anti-Shiite sentiments at campus. Instead of doing the simple thing and making a statement against this behaviour, they did what they always do; they tried to get away from facing the issue by ignoring it. We are asking you to proceed with the intended boycott of the Islamic Society of Rutgers University, their events, their weekly meetings and other activities. Through out the summer, members of the SpinDoctor Web Group tried to contact Mostafa Khalifa and meet with him and the Shura to try to get this matter resolved, instead of doing so, the board showed continued complacency of their responsibility. This boycott is not "5 People causing mischief" it is a call to action to the leaders of the ONLY Islamic representation of Rutgers Muslims to do the right thing and publicly denounce hatred from Muslims to their fellow brothers and sisters. If and only if Mostafa Khalifa publicly denounces anti Shi'ite retorich will this come to end. Until then ask your self this question, Do you really want to part of an organization that creeps away from condemning hatred and bigotry? Their silence has kept it going, their talking against it will make people think twice and hopefully stop it. Their unwillingness to represent all Muslims is keeping this fitna alive year after year.
