Projects have included publishing a second book, Restructuring Schools with Technology (Allyn & Bacon, 1996); writing materials for UW's Puget Sound Educational Consortium, public reports for Shoreline School District, and articles on family and education. Currently I write a column for the Enterprise newspapers entitled "Over Coffee," and teach Advanced Creative Nonfiction at the University of Washington.

Primary responsibilities included creating and disseminating reports and articles for the educational research program. I also devised strategies for communicating with the public through printed, video, and interactive media. I met with the press, gave personal presentations, worked with interactive TV, helped organize ACOT conferences, and lead a number of other activities to promote our R&D program.

Assignments included writing entire issues of Apple Education News, a 12-page quarterly, text for five Apple Curriculum Guides, articles for periodicals such as Classroom Computer Learning , Electronic Learning, and The Peninsula Times Tribune. My first book, The Word Processor and the Writing Teacher (Prentice-Hall, 1986), demonstrates how technology can strengthen the writing curriculum.
