This is probably my best and favorite issue to have. First of all it took me quite a while to find this copy of Tomb Raider. What with three other covers, I finally decided on this fabulous one. So if you've been on uranus or under a rock for the last while, this is Tomb Raider #1, Lara Croft's own comic that has nothing to do with Witch Blade. Basically our beautiful and busty Lara Croft is starting to raid the comic book world after many years of raiding our video game industry. Four video game versions of the scanty Lara have come into our t.v's and personal computers, some better than others, but that's why pencils have erasers. Now we don't have to wait years to see what is happening to her, we can now pick up our adventurous beauty in the skimpy shorts and hair braid each month, (providing we haven't had heart attacks from the last issue.) The first copy of Tomb Raider grabs you from the first page, to the cliff hanging continuation. It is narrated by Hartford Compton, Lara's trusty butler. Lara is hired by Paris D'Arseine, a ruthless man who is after The Medusa Mask. The mask is told to have magical powers and D'Areine wants it, but first Lara has to find it in a old spanish galleon at the bottom of the Atlantic. Things don't go as smooth as she had thought, what with people always trying to do her in, and we see our lovely lass fading..... fading...... fading to a watery death, (gasp). So I am looking forward to issue # 2 to see more of Lara, (If you know what I mean,..nudge..nudge..wink..wink!!) and hope that this title will be the new champion in the new millenium.

Well our hero Lara Croft survived... whew... but for how long? Will she live long enough for issue #3? In this issue Lara does survive and has some close calls with some aquatic life. Later we find out the relationship with her and Compton and just how loyal he is to the Croft family. Still on the trail of the Medusa mask? You bet! But in the end some surprises pop up and there is someone putting Lara over a barrel again. Tune in again to Fusion Comix for Part 3. Same Lara time. Same Lara channel.

Well, #3 of Tomb Raider is here and we get to meet a new old flame of Lara's, Chase Carver. I don't know who he is, but Lara has a history with him. He shows up and he and Lara fight their way out of a paper bag full of ninjas. We learn more about the Medusa Mask. A ship load of sailors go mad while transporting it. So Lara and Chase go to find some clues as to where it is. Open a door and *BANG* they fall into the darkness! *Gasp* What will happen next?
Stay tuned for a review of Tomb Raider #4. Same Lara time, same Lara channel.
