DC Comics
By Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Jaime Mendoza

Cover: I like Rouleau’s version of Superman and this is one of the main reasons I picked up this book. Otherwise this cover is very confusing. Superman being attacked by CM3 and Mary Marvel!? Weird.

Story: Very confusing. CM3 and Mary Marvel come to Metropolis to find Superman to help them with their problems and Captain Marvel’s powers problems. It turns out that some weird Frog God is killing people because humans are killing frogs to cure cancer. At the end there is some nice dialogue between Superman and Captain Marvel.

The Writing: The plot is very weird. Joe Kelly turns out one of the weirdest stories since his Deadpool days. But the dialogue is very good, some of the best I’ve ever seen. I love the parts between Superman and Captain Marvel.

The Art: Duncan Rouleau does an excellent fill-in job. He brings a nice cartoony feel to the book that has never really been seen before the relaunch. I like it. The pin-up of Captain Marvel is amazing.

Overall: The plot is very confusing but the dialogue and the art is very well done. If you’re a fan of cartoony art and/or Captain Marvel pick up this book.

Rating: 7 out of 10. Could have got a better mark if the plot would have made a bit more sense.

Similar Tastes: The other Superman books, especially Superman, and Kelly’s issues of Deadpool.

Q: I love Lois And Clark and have yet to miss an episode. Has it been cancelled by ABC? Naomi Nicholson, Ottawa
A: After 88 episodes and four seasons, ABC has officially pulled the plug on Lois And Clark: The Adventures Of Superman, starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. It won't be back this fall, but you may see the series hit syndication sometime soon.
