Description: This piece was created with a renaissance technique of glazing translucent layers of paint over one another to achieve more realistic colors.  It was my first attempt at portraiture and realistic content in a painting.

Description: This abstract piece was inspired by the commissioned piece "Celtic Dreams."  The title is the name of the place where Jesus Christ was crucified. Note the three crosses and the celtic knots that resemble the crown of thorns.

Description: Third in the series which combines Art and Science into one lesson. In the work, The large objects with the red spikes (called sori) burst open in a spring- like action, releasing spores into the air. The spring-like action is where the name leptosporangeates came from. (You can find sori on the back of many fern leaves.)

Medium: Planographic printmaking method (lithograph on paper)

Description: Drawing with a grease pencil on a 200 lb. piece of stone. The picture is then "etched" with acid onto the litho. stone. The resulting image is of a small child innocently playing in the sand. What we are not sure of is the intent of the large male figure, which looms in the foreground. Is he friend, family, or foe? (Print 3/9).
