Bangkok, Thailand - December 3, 2003
Today, I woke up and after checking email and such, decided to go catch a movie. It was kind of a random occurence actually, but turned out to be quite interesting. Basically I went to the Mall once again as its not too far from this area. It was interesting as I had some lunch in the upstairs cafeteria, and saw a caucasian guy, his Thai wife, and their three kids. The three kids were absolutely stunning in appearance. Nearby there were a few local Thai employees working in the mall, and their eyes were just misty, their hearts were aflutter, and they were just mesmerized and adoring of the mixed kids. It was a memory that kind of established to me what Thai culture seems to be about. Its just so accepting of absolutely everything it seems including sights like this. Many foreigners have made Thailand there permanent home. I can definetely see why. The city is very manageable to get around with the SkyTrain, and it has just about everything I could possibly need as a foreigner and alot more.
In the evenings, several evenings, there have been quite a few interesting places to just eat dinner, drink beer, and relax in a large area completely with alot of live music. I've seen this many times the other time I was in Thailand, and it seems to be basically the same but maybe if possible, even moreso. Tonight as well as a few other nights, I basically did the same thing of enjoying kind of evening entertainment outside with live music and everything else.
