Seoul, Korea - January 25, 2008
It's been six months again since I wrote a journal entry. It's safe to say, that somedays, just not much is happening! Either that, or you just get so familiar with a place, that things don't really strike me as very interesting. Well, now I have a lot of new news.
Namely, I was just offered a university job in JAPAN! So the Seoul Journals will be making a move towards being the JAPAN JOURNALS. In addition, I haven't mentioned it in the journals before, I am now a married man to a lovely Filipina-American woman. She lived in the States for years, but grew up in the Philippines, so there is a permanant attachment to the Philippines from here on out. Meaning, that most of my life in the immediate future will be involving mostly Japan and the Philippines. I am trying to think of a creative way to resurrect this website with signicantly more journal writings to reflect all of the future changes and particularly to record them as they are new to me. As many things will be new in those places, I hope to be able to be very specific with describing particular aspects whereas I might have lost that ability/interest with here in Korea.
A few more things about me, I'm now taking a second MA program, this time in Education-TESL. I'm loving this uni teaching gig lifestyle and want to continue doing it for a long time. A MA in TESL is just what it's going to take to continue this lifestyle. My first two classes begin in February, and will taken through an American university that offers classes in Korea.
Well, that's all I'm going to leave you all with here nearing the end of the 'Seoul Journals'. I'm still debating on changing formats for the future "Japan Journals' and if I want to make another separate one for the future Philippines Travels that I'll be sure to be doing a lot more of in the immediate future, including the upcoming month of March.
