Internet is a wonderful medium. I personally owe a lot to it - my love, my life, my happiness. It is wonderful not just as an efficient source of information, but as a way of bringing people together.

The first time I went on the net, in September of 1997, I ended up in a Depeche Mode Chat Room on their official website. It is there that I met many amazing people from all over the world (including my husband Eric) who became my virtual friends.

The DM Chat created an entire community of us, connected by our love for the music, who came there almost daily and got to know each other really well over time. We chatted, emailed, visited each other's websites and signed guestbooks.

Now, three years later, many of us have moved on. Even the original DM Chat doesn't exist anymore, and the new one has an entirely different crowd and different atmosphere. Off and on, I still stay in touch with some of my old friends: Sycamore (a.k.a. T-Money), Christopher (a.k.a. Undesirable), Ilia (a.k.a. Sandra). But unfortunately, I also have lost touch with many: Triton, Snare, D1, DM101, Banana, Gavin, Gorechick, Kiera, Happiest Girl... Dear friends, I hope to hear from all of you again soon!
