Character Traits

Tader Bario:

Orphaned at the age of 4 in a great fire the Dark had created, Tad had lived nearly his whole life with his companion, Warrior, wandering the country. Being born with the gift of magic, Tad was taught illusionary spells by a young mage he had met before the fire. Being extremely interested in magic, Tad taught himself his craft with the help of the magic horse, but he wasn't a conventional magi. Since he didn't have proper lessons, his ways of manipulating the magic within him is strange and unknown. He has a magical connection with animal and human life, while he can make gold out of air. Instead of using spells, like all the other magi, he changes magic to his will, as one would fold paper into halves.

His parents, Regina and Maxus Bario, impressed within him the morals he know hold dear. Without these teachings, he wouldn't be fighting for life and learning all he can, he would be just another manipulator and thief, and would have joined the forces of the Dark. Now he is on the crusade to save the only kingdom not ruled by the Dark, and trying not to be killed along the way.

Warrior:

Warrior is a magical stallion who befriended Tad when he was a young boy. Not only is he magical, he is completely black, making him even more rare. Though most of his past is shrouded in fog, Tad does know that Warrior has a good heart and will do what he believes is right, even if it means going against his friend. Unlike most animals, Warrior is intelligent and can speak and understand the English language, not only read it. Being an animal, he can converse with and listen to other animals that the two usually come across along their travels, which allows them to catch up to the news of the world.

It is thought that Warrior is the oldest animal in the world, being one of the original creatures that came from magic itself, but this speculation was never proven. Another theory is that Warrior is a refugee of the Dark and is trying to redeem himself by helping Tad. Although there are many more theories out there, none of them are proven.

Zack Ranigan:

Zack was an old friend of Tad's, actually his best friend (besides Warrior). When Tad was younger, he and Zack used to work in the palace stables, but that was before Tad was exiled. After that, Zack joined the army and became one of the best fighters the Kingdom of Hynadus had ever had. His good looks causes girls to swoon over him wherever he goes, but he always feels insecure around Tad because to him, his looks don't even come close to that of his former friend's.

Being the best fighter in his squadron, he became one of the King's own messengers of the army and war. Being in close ties with the ruler himself, Zack had got many of the privileges his poor childhood couldn't give him and he enjoys every minute of it.

The Dark:

The Dark is an evil force coming from the nearby country, which is unnamed. The Dark was always there, building power, manipulating, but people haven't noticed it until it had taken enough energy from the wrong doings of man to kill. Giving forms to its servants, the Dark was able to take its plans into the world. The Dark's servants are everywhere, though they may seem like any normal person, but sometimes, if they are evil enough, they will be transfigured and transformed.

All the people fear this evil power that no one sees. The only sign of it ever being there is the dark clouds that cover the countries it had won during the war it had been fighting and winning over the long years. Though the Kingdom of Hynadus has declared war against this evil thing, the kingdom has little hope of destroying it.
