What I am today was the result of changing, change to blend with time and change to adopt to the information technology environment which is the beginning of the century to the future we all have to go trough whether we like it or not !.

To me as a graphic designer who were train in the old fashion manual way, i have to admit i was a handy-cap in using a computer in the olden days, since i love photography i have to give up my job in the advertising agency to join The Sun which was my first job in the press.

I was once a serious fine art photographer who uses 100 % analog material & technic like the chemical processing in film to printing paper to express my photography work. The introduction of computer which was the Macintosh in 1994 in The Sun made a big impact in my career from a photographer to a photo illustrator !.

As a skill photographer who was in total control in the black & white and color printing in handling press assignments, the changes of using the Mac & and film scanner to replace the tradition processing and printing was a unpleasant one deal to my "o" knowledge in computer application in photography in the early stage !

The exposure to the Macintosh system in the office starting from photo department, artist ,sub ,editors to colour separation affects my life style as a press photographer.In 1996 i took a course in computer application in graphic design which includes software like Photoshop,Illustrator,Quarkxpress and PageMaker for a year just to catch up what i had loss in the skill as a graphic designer.

My first computer was a Macintosh power PC 6200, 75MHz, 64mb ram which i had purchased it during a promotion. A very,very,very slow processing speed series which i had bought it without consider the possibility of future upgrading. It was a slow computer but it also help me to produced more then 80 pcs of photo illustration for the Sun Megazine cover.

Currently i had invested into the world fastest super computer which is the G4 power Macintosh 400MHz DVD with 250mb ram plus a 17" monitor. A computer of my dream which made me more powerful in producing my photo illustration in poster size, for example 36'' x 22" in 300 dpi which i had just out put in colour laser printer for testing,the result was very satisfying !.

Other then my G4, i had also invested into a few items like film scanner,a flat bat scanner and a CD burner.The Nikon LS 2000, a 35mm film & slide is the currently the world best scanner which i use it for high quality scanning to produced first class quality photo illustration. Since i have a scanner i need to burn all my pictures in the CDs for archive which where my Yamaha crw6416sx comes in hardy for that purpose.

Other then been a photographer & a photo illustrator, i consider my self as a Mac addict because i own & used four mac in my house which is my G4,6200 and two 6100.

Since i am a Mac addict and Chinese tea lover, may be one day i will set up the first Mac cyber tea center in malaysia to promote Chinese tea, Mac computer and exhibition center for my photo illustration and press photography !.
