HoverCraft
Here is the Hover Craft that runs service between the main island of England and the Isle of Wight. Before it goes back into the water, the black rubber innertube inflates with air and then the boat just glides accross the water. In this photo, the boat is just resting on top of dry concrete. It's an amazing sight to watch it set off and also to see it dock. From what I hear, Hover Craft were created on the Isle of Wight. Sadly, they are going to stop all use of these craft, not only on the Isle of Wight, but other locations as well. This puzzles me because Hover travel is the safest way to travel with the least amount of problems on record. Strange.
