Seeing Things

I wish things were that simple. But they are just not so. My visions are of a great grey blur ~ not being able to distinguish where one colour starts and the other one ends.

I wish one day I could see again as I did when I was a child. Seeing the world in simple and innocent black and white. And here, I don't mean just flat morbid colours devoid of fun. For a child sees white not only as purity of light but also as an epiphany of a blend of brilliant colours across the spectrum. And black simply the absence of white.

In these two colours may lie the mystery of the duality of life ~ birth and death, joy and sorrow, love and hate. I guess I can only hope ...
