THE ETERNAL NIGHT

(Sunday, May 8, 1994, 11:59 p.m.)

I would like to see the light of day

After a lifetime of darkness

Though I don't know if I could face the sun

Hearing of its sunny starkness.

I prefer to float through infinity of space

Sparkling with silver lights;

My days are too long, I can hardly wait

'Til stars bring refreshing, cool nights.

At nighttime I dream and listen to sounds

Of magical, musical moods;

My dreams are of clouds and limitless bounds

All the space-time continuum includes.

Maybe one day I'll change

To sunflowers, daisies, and light,

But right now I couldn't be happier

Exploring the Eternal Night.
