VIOLENCE

(Wednesday, May 14, 1997, 2:13 a.m.)

Violence,

It sticks like sweat between my fingers.

Silence

Sighs like a shrieking wind through my brain;

Cowardice

Envelops my action and hides its true nature.

Silence

Is the way that I am, and what I'll always be.

Deviance,

What a course to think on, to tease, to ignore.

Violence,

As innocent as it can be, as careless, as shameful;

Ambivilance

Shines through my love, as inescapable as grief.

Faithfulness,

Always attainable, but neglected and restless.

Happiness

Teases like the rain:

It comes in drops, tiny bits of joy; it rarely downpours.
