i'm ok, you're ok

I just spoke with my doctor and my liver biopsy came back good. That means there is no evidence of chronic immune hepatitis, anti-trypsin deficiency, or cirrhosis or scarring. What they found was that my liver is fatty with inflammation - more than "normal". There is no specific course of treatment (medication), I just need to watch my fat and sugar intake very carefully. Doing so should reduce the fat content in my liver gradually over the course of months or years.
In the future, I will have to have my blood checked once or twice a year so Dr. G. can track the counts. Also, I will need to remind doctors about the problem before they prescribe anything to me or if they draw blood and notice high liver function tests.
I tell ya, this has been about the longest week EVER!!! I have been saying all week that it's going to be nothing and acting not worried. Now that I KNOW I'm fine, I feel like I can finally breathe for the first time in months. Now I can get on with life.
Thank you for all the happy vibes and good thoughts! I am just glad I can come back with good news!
